# SKU.md v1.0.0-beta changelog

`1.0.0-beta` is a clean break from v0.10. It replaces YAML-frontmatter manifests, partitions, commerce profiles, authority maps, offer snapshots, and JSON Schema fields with two small pure-Markdown documents: a root catalog and source-backed product knowledge.

No v0.10 document is implicitly compatible with v1, and this release adds no alias, fallback, migration, or conversion contract. The frozen v0.x specifications and examples remain separate immutable archives.

Specification versions and tool versions are independent. A validator, generator, MCP service, or Agent Skill may have its own release number and must identify the exact SKU.md specification version it evaluates or produces.
